For example, with a total weight of 10kg, glitter with a thickness of 50µm can cover an area of 50 m², while glitter with a thickness of 100µm can only cover 25 m². Thinner materials cover a larger area than thicker ones with the same weight.
Material Weight:
Impact on Volume: The thickness also affects the volume. When packaging two different thicknesses of glitter into the same bottle, glitter with a thickness of 50µm may fill the bottle completely, whereas glitter with a thickness of 100µm might only fill it halfway. Thicker materials weigh more than thinner ones in the same container.
Shape and Size:
Impact on Volume: The shape and size of the glitter pieces affect the perceived volume. For instance, two types of glitter with the same thickness but different shapes—1/128 hexagonal and 4mm Mickey shapes—will look different in volume.
